ASAM General Coordinator \u0130brahim Vurgun Kavlak emphasized the importance of diversifying qualitative migration studies encompassing many disciplines in T\u00fcrkiye, analyzing international practices, and increasing the number of academic publications that would serve as scientific references at a national level. Referring to the goals of ASAM Graduate Thesis Research Support Program, Kavlak noted that scholarship support was made available to students conducting academic research for the purposes of creating national and international references in the field of migration, supporting scientific research on migration that would be inclusive of many different disciplines and making the generation of scientific knowledge more effective.<\/p>\n\n

Expressing that with the 2023 ASAM Academy on Migration Scholarship Program, they also aimed to support academics affected by the disaster, Kavlak stated that they decided to prioritize studies to be conducted in the fields of psychosocial support and humanitarian aid. <\/p>\n\n

Explaining the studies undertaken by ASAM Academy on Migration, which was founded in 2019, ASAM Deputy General Coordinator Atty. Ay\u015feg\u00fcl Yal\u00e7\u0131n Eri\u015f stated that in addition to all the trainings offered, symposiums held, reports drawn up, \u201cMigration Talks\u201d programs broadcasted on SGDD-ASAM YouTube Channel, Digital Library on Migration established and ASAM Academy on Migration Summer School organized so far, the Graduate Thesis Research Support Program launched was an important milestone for ASAM Academy on Migration, which sought to contribute to national and international literature. Noting that in 2023, they were aiming to present the reports published by the academy in the form of a bulletin, Eri\u015f mentioned the collaboration they engaged in with Princeton University and said that the guide entitled \u201cSharing the future: Opportunities for Social Harmonization in T\u00fcrkiye\u201d would be published in May.<\/p>\n\n
