Happy October 11, International Day of the Girl Child

Empowered girls, empowered tomorrows!

Happy October 11, International Day of the Girl Child

Empowered girls, empowered tomorrows!

Together, we must make greater efforts to enable girls to engage in social life and shape the future. We know for a fact that a strong society can only be achieved when the power girls inherently have is unveiled.

Unfortunately, no matter where we are in the world, gender inequality against girls and women still exists despite the policies developed and the universal goals adopted. The UN Women’s “Progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): The Gender Snapshot 2023” Report indicates that urgent and determined action is needed to ensure gender equality. According to the Report, at current rates of progress, an estimated 110 million girls and young women will remain out of school in 2030. October 11 is a great opportunity to empower girls and raise awareness of discrimination and abuse. AS ASAM, we prioritize girls’ access to education and discovering their potential. Girls are the future of the society. Supporting them means enlightening the future. We will continue working together on this October 11 and every other day to promote girls’ empowerment.

Over the past one year we;

  • Offered support 382,432 times to 160,021 girls from over 30 different nationalities.
  • Provided 145.275 counselling services to 57.395 girls.
  • Referred 33,803 girls to the relevant institutions and organizations.
  • Supported 125,239 girls with specific needs.
  • Organized activities with the participation of 40,234 girls that are beneficial for their development.
  • Visited 48,338 girls who are unable to reach our centers.

We will achieve equal tomorrows with the steps we will be taking collectively.

Happy International Day of the Girl Child to all the girls!
