Inclusive and qualitative education is a fundamental right for everyone and supporting asylum seeker children in accessing education is critically significant to prevent facing the risk of a lost generation. As ASAM, we provide information to asylum seeker children on accessing their right to education and on education opportunities that would enable them to build their life as equipped, productive and strong individuals; we help them to overcome the barriers to attending school. By increasing the knowledge and awareness of children and their families on education, we encourage them to benefit from formal and non-formal education opportunities. Through a “lifelong learning” approach, we also offer Turkish language courses and vocational courses, mainly to support access to the labor market and the social cohesion of adult asylum seekers who are not at school age.
