Within the Social Cohesion and Life Trainings Programme, 8-hour trainings are provided at beginner level under the headings of Türkiye’s cultural structure, communal living rules, access to means of livelihood, and fundamental rights and services.
In order for the project to reach a wider population following the pilot implementations that have been completed successfully, the Social Cohesion and Life Trainings Programme has entered its new implementation period on 1 October 2020 under the leadership of Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants (ASAM) in coordination with the Directorate General of Migration Management.
In scope of the Programme, which has been launched with the British Embassy’s financial support and which will last for 12 months, it is aimed to provide training to 55.000 individuals in the provinces of Istanbul, Çankırı, Yozgat, Karabük and Ordu.
Under the Programme, it is planned to organize a Training of Trainers, a series of Evaluation and Coordination Meetings to share with one another the experiences gained during implementation, and Focus Group Discussion Meetings to receive feedback from the beneficiaries regarding the course and scope of the trainings.
