We are in Hatay on 19 August World Humanitarian Day

19 August World Humanitarian Day is dedicated to honoring humanitarian aid workers who wholeheartedly commit to their mission, making a significant impact through solidarity, and paying tribute to those who lost their lives during humanitarian aid efforts all around the world.

In recent years, as humanity has faced difficult challenges, we find ourselves once more entering a phase where the importance of humanitarian aid has broadened, and it remains consistently of significant importance. Having engaged in humanitarian aid activities for 28 years, ASAM, empowered by its hundreds of staff members, has been steadfastly conducting operations in the quake-stricken region since the very first day of the earthquake that occurred on 6 February 2023.

On the occasion of 19 August World Humanitarian Day, Elif Avcı and Kardelen Hasırcı, both members of ASAM staff who dedicate their efforts to humanitarian aid and come together to foster hope through solidarity, shared information about the operations conducted in Hatay.
