20 Child, Adolescent and Family Support Hubs, established under the Project, offer service in the provinces of Adana, Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis and Malatya. 5 Mobile Teams assigned in the region also provide service in Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş and Malatya for persons with limited access to the centers.
Through the Project, services are available for those living in the regions affected by the earthquake, individuals in Temporary Accommodation Centers, and persons hosting displaced communities.
The Child, Adolescent and Family Support Hubs, which provide service in scope of the Project starting in April 2023, offer holistic services for children and their families affected by the earthquake, by forming “child and adolescent friendly” safe spaces and focusing on access to protection, mental health and psychosocial wellbeing, learning, development and access to rights to participation of girls and boys.
Services that support access to basic rights and services are provided in the Child, Adolescent and Family Support Hubs, which aim to reduce the protection risks faced by children and adults, and to improve their resilience and wellbeing. Community-based mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) activities are also available at the Hubs for children, women, parents and families, according to the appropriate age category. In addition, nutrition, breastfeeding and hygiene exercises and activities for supporting early childhood development are carried out in the Mother and Baby Corners formed for women.
