The “Refugee Protection, Community Outreach, and Solutions in Urban Areas Project” is being implemented in partnership with the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR). Following the earthquake that occurred on 6 February 2023 in the epicenter of Kahramanmaraş, the Project, having its scope extended, began providing protection services to those affected by the earthquake.
Implemented in collaboration with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), the WFP Early Recovery by SES Project seeks to provide access to livelihoods for earthquake survivors who are living in provinces affected by the Pazarcık Earthquake and the ensuing disasters, have become unemployed owing to the earthquake and are in need.
The “Sports for Solidarity Project”, funded by the Olympic Refuge Foundation (ORF), is implemented with the partnership of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the Turkish National Olympic Committee (TNOC) under the coordination of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Implemented with the support of Inditex, the Project aims to protect the rights of migrants and asylum seekers working in textile factories.
The Social Cohesion and Life Trainings Programme has been designed to facilitate the cohesion of foreigners under temporary protection and international protection to social, economic and cultural life in our country in scope of the Cooperation Protocol signed between the Directorate General of Migration Management and Directorate General of Life Long Learning as per Law no. 6458 on Foreigners and International Protection, and has started being implemented in 2019 in the pilot provinces of Istanbul, Ordu and Karabük. Within the Social Cohesion and Life Trainings Programme, 8-hour trainings are provided at beginner level under the headings of Türkiye’s cultural structure, communal living rules, access to means of livelihood, and fundamental rights and services.
The “Strengthening Social Cohesion and Inclusion Through Sports Among Refugee and Turkish Youth Project”, funded by the Olympic Refuge Foundation (ORF), is implemented with the partnership of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Youth and Sports, United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the Turkish National Olympic Committee (TNOC).
Funded by European Union and German Government, “Community Centers and Local Initiatives Project” is being implemented in collaboration with GIZ.
With the “Al Farah Child and Family Support Centers for Refugee Children Project”, which was launched in 2016 with the collaboration of the United Nations Children’s Fund, protection services are offered to asylum seeker children, adolescents and their families, and child friendly activities are carried out by making the necessary referrals for children to develop most efficiently.
